College Overview

College Philosophy

Our college’s founding spirit is to foster promising human resources with the knowledge and skills essential for independence, a strong desire for self-improvement, and the ability to take sincere action

The parent institution of Tokyo Seiei College was Seitoku Junior College of Nutrition, which originated from Seitoku Nutrition Senior High School established in 1954 as a nutritionist training facility. Seitoku Junior College of Nutrition created a dietary nutrition major for training nutritionists and a food science major for training mid-level technicians in the food industry. The basic educational philosophy of the college was to train professionals who have the skills to be independent and contribute to society by maintaining and promoting food, nutrition, and health.

Inheriting the basic philosophy of Seitoku Junior College of Nutrition, Tokyo Seiei College opened in April 2005 as an educational institution aiming at advanced skills and expertise in food and nutrition.

Our college’s founding spirit is to foster promising human resources with the knowledge and skills essential for independence, a strong desire for self-improvement, and the ability to take sincere action, which has been established as our college’s basic philosophy.

Message from the President

TADAHIRO TADOKORO

Tokyo Seiei College, which opened in 2005 with Seitoku Junior College of Nutrition - an institution with a long tradition of training and educating nutritionists - as its parent organization, has two Departments in the Faculty of Health and Nutrition: the Department of Administrative Nutrition and the Department of Food Sciences. The objective of education at our college is to have our students acquire techniques and skills founded on specialized knowledge and practice related to nutrition and food, based on the latest information on "food and health," and foster "food experts" who are successful in society, while responding to society's needs. Today, global goals that are common worldwide are being proposed in order to maintain durable prosperity of human beings, where one of the topics is stabilization of "food and lifestyles," which incorporates a wish towards good health. The energy of the young generation, equipped with a strong will and flexible creativity, is further sought after in the future world of food and health. My wish is for everyone to leap into society and contribute greatly, while learning together on " health," "nutrition," and "food," which are keywords that are common throughout the world, through our classes in which each and every student's face can be seen. Our campus is full of expectations for the young generation.
